Brooder floor

I would like to know if chopped straw would be okay to use on the floor of a brooder floor

I would think so. Just make sure they have grit to grind up any pieces they may eat.

I would avoid chopped straw until about two weeks old. I use puppy pads for the first few weeks, you can get them at the dollar store.
