Can I use the 125 red bulbs meant for reptiles?

I think I've read of others using them, but I haven't. I personally don't bother with the red bulb. Chicks start pecking each other because of boredom, crowding or too much heat, and I don't find the white lights to be a problem.

I used a reptile bulb for brooding. The "standard" high wattage red bulb was far too hot for my liking (I brooded in a bathroom - never again!) and I ditched it after a week.
