Is there such a thing as an automated brooder light? Temperature controlled so that once it reaches a desired temp it shuts down and then turns back on when a minimum temperature is reached?

Yep, that's what I use 'em for. I was lucky I already had them from when I kept herps. When I made my incubators, I dug them out and I've found they kept temperature absolutely spot on. They were about $35 apiece as I recall, so a little more expensive than the hot water heater thermostat's but I believe they're worth it since they do such a good job.good idea!!
Im going to update my water heater thermostat that i use in my incubator (home made) with reptile since they are more accurate.
