Thanks! I just need to get something to secure the heat lamp to the bar (NO FIRE OMG) and also make sure it doesn't touch the side of the tub.

Thankyou all for your responses. As far as temperature control... I mean, i have a heat lamp over them, and they are running all around the stock tank happy as clams so I'm assuming they are happy with their temperature. And i started the towel method last night, great idea... works great, thanks guys/gals.
