Here you go, this is one of my Golden Laced Wyandottes! I tried to get all the marks so you could tell what it is. Hope it helps! These two chicks are so cute! They have such cool markings.

I truly didn't notice any stink when I had them in the house in their brooder. I did use a nice bedding called Woody Pet, and it really worked well. Our brooder was a huge wide-screen TV box I bent and taped into a round shape, it worked well.

Thanks for the answer Reinbeau, can you tell I'm gonna be a new mommy in May?
I kept hearing that it's going to stink.....maybe it depends on how many and if you clean up after them....
This is my new brooder...its 3x3x2 and will house 13 chicks the first week of April: 1 mystery chick and 2 each of Australorp, Hamburg, Cochin, Araucana, Wyandotte and Brahma. The floor is vinyl but I'm going to but a non-skid backer down and put papertowels over it. Later I will add a cardboard lip around the inside and add shavings.
This is my manger that I can fill with greens once the girls are older.
This is my roost pole that is attached through the hardware cloth. This will allow me to adjust it as the girls grow. I built a small dusting box too. I'll take it out for the first week but will put it back once the chicks adjust to being here.
I'll post a pick of this when the wife brings the camera back,, but what i am using for my first chicks is box that a truck tool box comes in. The box is two piece and slides together like a pill capsule. I cut the top out of it leaving the very end ot the outer piece in tact to keep the sides from spreading apart. I havent read the entire brooder sticky but I thought this is kind of unique because it can slide out and adjust the size from about 2ft by 4ft to as much as 2ft by 8ft giving me a little more room if i need it before I get my outside brooder built. I saw the box @ my local napa and the light bulb went off for me. I asked about the box and viola I had my temporary brooder. I'll post a pic as soon as i can
