Brooder time...questions, please advise.

Ok, so the ducklings are drying off from their hatch this morning. (almost there!!!) Now, brooder's all ready and all of that, but remind me...do I put down the water, dip their bills, leave it in for 15 minutes (repeat 2x) or is it ok to just leave the water in? I don't want them to get 'waterlogged'. I have no experience with hatching my own, so I have only had mail order ducks, which were obviously w/o water for a couple of days. ;0)

I put water in and left it there...just put some marbles in so they dont drown....also, just supervise them for a while until they get used to it. Ducks learn pretty quickly. Another thing, they will sleep alot....they are not dead...and there will be lots of little "dandruff" everywhere!
