going thru the food spilling most of it in the litter.
Make a cardboard tray to set that red feeder in. Make it big enough for the base to fit in, with sides about 2". This will contain feed in the tray and they can eat it, instead of having it go in the bedding. I did the same thing last time I had chicks, it worked well.
I'm thinking about making the feeder in the thread link below this time. It' keeps the feed from getting real high in the base, which should prevent the feed from being billed out.

Ok, since some are almost a week older i tossed them some meal worms wow!!! Like a bunch of sharks all over the brooder they running.
Do you have chick grit for them?
