Yep, come spring they can be broody all they want, well as long as some don't, I do need eggs to get chiks and for the kitchen.

Oh, Ayam Cemanis are so gorgeous and unique! I want one. I didn't know you had some, @RodNTN. Do you have any unrelated roosters of that breed? Or any other rooster breeds? I'm glad you made this thread; it's been fun to read and the pictures are beautiful!

I've had a hard time getting good pics of mine, been so rainy and nasty and none of them like the camera..Lol
Finally got a decent one of a young roo. He's a bit wet still in the pic.

Lol. The iridescent makes him even more beautiful!! Are Ayams on the smaller side, typically? Like, smaller than Barred Rocks and breeds like that?
