Oh right! perfect, I'll definitely try thatYou could give her the duck eggs, then wait a week and give her chicken eggs, so they all hatch at the same time.

Great!I got my eggs!! She gave me 7 for free because it was my first purchase. One Maran, a bunch of EEs all fertilized by a black olive egger. I was going to hatch mostly my eggs but since I got 7 I think I will give my hen 10. Good to add fresh genes to my flock right? But the other 3 eggs are from my Cream Legbar (who lays green eggs), my production blue, and my Jersey giant/BlackCM mix (all fertilized by my BlueCM)
Actually, if you're a few days behind, that means that we get to see chicks longer! Also, I successfully moved my broody to a separate coop. Took one failure but she is now sitting back on her new eggs! I guess I'm a few days behind y'all but still exciting!
TRUE! I didn't think of it that wayActually, if you're a few days behind, that means that we get to see chicks longer!
You could mark the eggs that you want her to sit on and check for others once or twice a day.My broody won't stay put in the separate coop. She's been taking care of herself with long, 30 min brakes, ending with my rooster chasing her back to the coop and into the box. So im just going to let her stay in the usual coop and hope my other hens don't lay in the box with her still.
good idea, thats probably what I will doYou could mark the eggs that you want her to sit on and check for others once or twice a day.
