little update on my egg/chick. It still has a chunk of yolk I can see and a big vein. It has definitely moved a lot. Much different position than yesterday. The yolk actually looks bigger from my perspective so maybe its getting towards the end of it and i'm seeing it front on now. Anyways, I applied vaseline yesterday and today, I have been misting it with warm water from time to time. Same 70% humidity. I hope he/she makes it!!!

(although he's gonna be a very lonely chick for awhile)

it pipped on day nineteen! Does that mean my broody hen just had really hot temps in her nest? I read that they pip later (day 22 or 23) if the eggs are incubated at cooler temps, and her eggs have been really hot the entire time, so could that cause an early hatch?

The chick that pipped yesterday just hatched! It is fluffing up under the mama hen atm, so I am going to go get some pictures when it is dried out.
The second egg pipped this morning as well, so I'm expecting another baby tonight or tomorrow!
