Good system, but don`t get greedy. If eggs aren`t comfortably covered, they can be rotated out in the cold during normal turning. Eventually a goodly number will get cold, causing a poor hatch...........Pop
Yeah, as tempting as it is to just leave the extra eggs there, make sure to remove them. When in doubt take the egg out.
I've also noticed that the first few hours after you give the hen eggs she'll be REALLY fluffed out, as she proudly clucks away. By the next morning, she's settled into routine, and is not quite as fluffed out as when she was first given the eggs, i.e. she's not covering as many of the eggs.
