If they were due to hatch today I wouldn't worry until day 23, o Wednesday.Or even day 24. Which at that point you can candle them or do the float test to see if any of the eggs wiggle. And if so put them back in the incubator.

She started staying on the nest Saturday. I hope she doesn't give up on them. That's one reason I got some Wyandotte, I heard they were good brooders and good mamas. I stuck a few more eggs under her and I'm hoping some of them hatch.

Did you mark all the eggs under her so any fresh layed eggs can be removed Daily so you do not end up with Lots of problems? Or can you move her or fix her area so no other hens can get to her nest, but allow her space to get off the nest to eat, drink, etc?I think I have a broody sitting on some eggs.

I used a bucket as a nest early this year, the silkie hen/pullet was hatching her first brood, she left the nest for a drink half way through the hatching and three chicks followed her, they could not get back in the nest and died, if I use the bucket again I will bury it so it only sticks out of the ground half an inch.

What's funny is the big rooster and 2 or 3 of the hens sleep all piled up in the dog carrier.I was doing a head count one night and thought I had some missing hens, till I counted all the heads in the carrier. Crazy birds.
I'll mark the eggs in the nest next time she leaves it to eat. If more end up in the nest, I won't worry about it since I get nearly 16 eggs a day if not more. I'll also candle the eggs in a couple of days to see if any are developing.
