Broody??? Too Funny!! *PIC ADDED* Pg. 7

I'm thinking she heard about your post: "Suddenly overrun with eggs again." She's just trying to help out.

She's still sitting this morning. She's on a nice, roomy nest - a wire dog crate big enough for two meaties to sit comfortable in. The nest has an ample packing of hay in it. It's covered in opaque plastic for some privacy.
Ridge, I did see her get up for a trip to the feeder and waterer last night but then she went right back to the nest.
I'm going to round her up some golf balls here in a bit.

Mrs. K :

When I got chickens for the first time, I got them in July, and took the last chicks. I got a cornish cross. She went broody and raised a nice batch of chicks and was a great mother, so am sending good vibes to you! I didn't know what we were doing, (I don't think she did either) but I slipped 6 chicks under her at the end of the 21 days, (I didn't have fertilized eggs).

Good vibes to you!

This gives me hope!

maybe that will work.

Gritsar, I'm sending good vibs and prayers for ur broody to stick with it. If she does, ur going to have to reward her with a name and not just call her meatie.
