Brother flooded out of his apt

My brother's apartment is on the Puyallup (pew-ALL-up) River and he's getting flooded out today. This happens about once a year.

Guess who's got a house guest tonight?

Oh dear. I hope he was prepared and he won't lose much!

Luckily he's on the 2nd floor and won't get any damage. It's a record high flood. His cat will be fine for a couple of days by himself.

DB just called and it's official: his apartment has been evacuated.

Pierce County emergency management officials have recommended that residents in the Orting Valley evacuate immediately.

I've **NEVER** heard of that valley being evacuated!! That's where my brother lives.​

gosh! i am constantly grateful that Michigan gets snow and not floods, tons of tornadoes, earthquakes etc.

i may not like the cold, but it's not as much trouble!

hope it all comes out alright. glad he is up on the second floor!

oh, and i give up, who's got a house guest?

I don't know how long he'll be with us (that sounds like he's dying). During the last flood he was at my folks' for a few days.

Hope your brother and everyone in the aaprtment block is Ok and praying that their "homes" are not damaged by the flood water......

He tried to get to the apt last night but the National Guard and traffic in general kept him from getting too close. The rivers in WA State are at record flood stage!

It's our second 100-year flood in a year.
