Brown Jersey Giant chicks?

So if I have a roo with a little easter egger in him and a hen with the same I could end up with chicks like this? What if it's just the hen?

Possibly, but the muffs shouldn't skip a generation.

Thanks guys. This is really frustrating. Thought I had pure bred Jersies now I'm starting to doubt it. Is there any Jersey Giant breeders on here I could talk to about this. My birds look Jersey giant I can't pick anything out that says otherwise.

This is wild! If the eggs are ONLY from the Jersey giants as described, having muffs wouldn’t be possible, as they are dominant. Something is definitely not adding up here.

these chicks look as 'muffy" as my salmon favorelles did! they have beautiful full muffs!
sorry op, theyre cute tho! Excited to see updates as they get older

Your JGs aren't pure.
I wouldn't matter who's sneaking in a pure JG hen wouldn't produce those chicks no matter.
Sorry neither parent are pure.

I have black Jersey giant(mother) Easter egger(father) mixes and some of the males have beards. None are brown, just blue and black.

I have sold most, but these guys are an ok representation of the lot of them.
