Brown Red bantam Sumatras?

Well he is very pretty but the first thing I thought of when I saw him was a game. His whole front half looks like a game to me and if I remeber correctly brown red and birchen games are supposed to have a mulberry face and all. He has a nice tail though.

It's blasphemy. Sumatra are supposed to be black. Black all over, no other colors, not even blue. Now a days it's hard to even find a black sumatra without any red showing in his face.

Well whatever breed that is it looks awesome. The tail doesn't look perfect and the wing is held at a weird angle (for a sumatra) but otherwise it looks fine (except for the face). I would love to own a pair of those birds.

My Sumatras have black faces........I think this color is gorgeous...very similar to a BB Red Cubalaya, but really a nice color!!!!I would get a pair!!! Sumatras come in blue, black and WHITE...now I would love to see a white!!!! Here are my original pair:

these photos were made early in the year, before they were out in the sun much...you have to let them get in the sun to darken the faces.......

She got a splash pair too, same time as these brown reds, but their legs were green and I told her I didn't think green legs were good so I didn't want to show them to you guys. Anyone want to see green legged splash "whatever kind they are" with a similar profile to the brown reds, let me know and I will go back over there and see if she will let me take a photo of them too.

Also, about him looking game, it may be because he is crowded into the end of a narrow cage with someone tapping the cage to keep him down there, and not wide enough for him to relax his front end to his natural carriage.

Sorry to all that are offended by this color of bird, or the breed name used to describe him. I did not breed the birds and am not selling the birds, just posted in the interest of discussion.

I understand about that the breed is black and black only. Fresian horses are supposed to be black, and a bay Fresian with a bald face, blue eye and high white socks and a few splashes of white on his belly wouldn't be much of a Fresian now, would it? No comment on these birds is taken personally by me and I welcome and enjoy all the comments.
