I don't think the APA recognizes the white color. They only just recognized the blue color a few years ago.

I'm not an ABA judge so am not as familiar with their Standard but the APA definately does not recognize White Sumatras. I collect APA Standards & have almos all of them starting with the 1875 edition. Whites don't appear in any that I have. Please let me know what edition of the ASOP you saw them in.

My APA standard (most recent edition) only shows Black listed.

True Whites are a sport color of the Black line, not something created using other breeds.

You must not have the most recent copy. If it's the 2001 edition then you don't have the most recent copy. I think that blue sumatras were standardized in 2004. I could be wrong about that (I know they're standardized though).

In the most currently available APA standard (2001) edition, black is the only color accepted for standard Sumatra. Black and blue are accepted for the bantam Sumatra.

I just got my sandhill catalog today and read through the whole thing. Anyway they have brown red cubalayas in largefowl so I am going to say the birds here in question are brown red cubalayas.

I must disagree. Not with the black in the face, they could not ever be Cubalaya. In addition, the comb is not the right shape and the wattles are too large. The pictured birds are also bantams, not large fowl.
