Bubbling eye

I did my normal routine of checking for eggs feeding and fresh water and i notice when my duck was drinking that her eye bubbled up in the corner i washed her face off and made sure there was nothing in her eye ive not seen anymore bubbling yet but am concerned what could this be??

Maybe drop a few peas into the water so she will have to reach way in.

Sometimes infection can get into tissues. If topical treatment does not work, you may need oral medication....

Also some bacteria may be resistant. A good duck vet is best when possible.

It is common. Another poster had success with adding apple cider vinegar to the ducks water for about a week or so and it cleared up the bubbling eye.

I am going to try apple cider vinegar and yes she has water deep enough for her head to fully submerge but she doesn't seem to put her whole head under water unless i encourage her to do so

Hmmm..When Ducks get noodling around in mud up over the eyes as they all do, particles can block the tear ducts. It's normal if no infection sets in...

My duck is constantly digging in the mud thanks for this info

He basically provided clean water at all times and then started to add 1 tablespoon of acv to a gallon of water. The duck cleared up. I believe he had fresh water and acv water in separate containers.

If the treatment you are providing isn't working @Jpat, then this won't harm anything.

My little Barkley dog would swirl his head into the bottom of the lake and get pink eye. We had to stop taking him. He was ocd about it. Lol
