Yes, I would say so, but it's possible folks with less than idea birds will be selling those too, that's what folks do, sell the birds they're not keeping to breed. So you have to choose carefully.

Yes indeed! I got some lovely birds from judge Duane Urch last year (traded him for some of mine in fact.)

Dave has quite lovely birds, but I don't think he's coming (Dave, if you're reading this, please correct me if I am wrong.)

It depends. Good show quality birds will start at about $20 to $25 each and go up from there. It depends on what you're looking for and how many you're buying I'd think.

Hi folks,

I’m in a bit of a bind. I have a bird (cockerel) promised to Warren Carlow (a judge back east) who needs a ride to the Ohio National. As well, I have all the trophies for the Buckeye club ordered and they need to go too (and the agendas for the meeting, and the financial reports, and so on.)

My problem is, the friend who was going to pick them up from me Friday has to work, and can only pick the stuff up today. But I can’t get ahold of the trophy guy as his kid is prepping for surgery and he’s not answering his cell phone. And as most of you know, I can’t go to the show because my husband had to fly out of town to Canada to see his sick father, Colleen is away at college, and Allie has a weekend seminar she has to attend. So I am on my own Sat. with the critters (and also have to clean for the NPIP tester who’s coming next week.)

My life has been like this of late, never a dull moment.

So, are any of you going to be anywhere near Cincinnati tomorrow that could meet me and give this bird/these trophies/the reports a ride to the show for Saturday? If so, please call me on my cell at (859) 801-6081 or email me back to let me know. I can meet anyone tomorrow pretty much anytime on I-75 between Williamstown and Cincinnati.

Thanks!

Laura

Here's mine when I first turned them out, June 10. They were hatched about April 27, so approx 6 weeks.

I would love any input on the coloring of these chicks - it's my first batch and I would like to have the best Buckeyes possible. Are these correct color at this age?
