Hi folks! I took Best of breed and and reserve breed at the APA national at shawnee this weekend. I don't need to say it, but it was just mine and Jim's birds there, so all from the same stock, but like always, I'll take it!!! Crazy thing is, the one guy that's been placing first everywhere else, came in a dead last. He's my keeper anyway, but it was still nice to take top honors with another nice bird. Just got in, haven't had time to get pics downloaded yet, I'll try to get some up tomorrow. PS., got BB with a bantam roo also.

Congratulations Jennifer!

Sometimes, the birds are all real close anyway and later, a bird may be in better feather and just be looking his best. They are like late bloomers. Or it may be something another judge likes better about a particular bird or line.

Use the "search" button at the top left of the page IN the blue bar, (under the BYC title) NOT the button to the right. That gives you much more refine-able search options.

Thank you for pointing to the better Search tool, it looks like it will be MUCH less frustrating!

Hi Janet, you should have been there! It was a great show.Jim only had three there, he ended up with transportation issues. Unfortunately, we only had 11 lf Buckeyes there. There were 7 bantams, my rooster took best of breed. Wow, 55 eggs, starting off in a hurry this new year! Good Luck.
