Mitch I didnt say that they were created from the RIR, there was a time when hers were compared to and regarded as RIRs and she is reported to have added some RIR at that time . I have read that in several breed historys, do you have some information that refutes that?

Its moot to me, now, what the actual parent origins are, they have developed into distinctly different breeds, but share some similarities.

I see what you're reading.

I hope Chris McCary could comment on this. . . He always does a better job at explaining this.

She exchanged stock with RIR breeders when she found out about them, but specifically states that while she did add Buckeyes to her RIR pens, she did not add RIR to her Buckeye pens.

Eh, sure...I'm neighbors with Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Washington, Oregon...

Well, that narrows it down a little bit, not well though.
If you are looking for shipped eggs, the clser the better.
That said, I have ordered & recieved fine shipments from Florida, so now you just need to find a breeder close to you, and contact them to order what you are looking for.
Hope this helps.

I got permission from my parents to state where I live, which is in North California.

I'd go to Chickielady, she's got nice ones.

What he said !

Go back 4-5 pages and you can see pics of her stock, very very nice chickens, and she does ship.

I am hoping for some of her chicks in the spring.

Okay, now I have another question. Should I get a trio?

If you have access to a good breeder who will help you get a good start with a nice Trio, then that's a good idea. If, on the other hand that's not the case, I would suggest ordering a bunch of chicks or hatching eggs. That way you can raise them up and cull as necessary to get your good start.

God Bless,
