They are so cute! I must say these are the quietest babies I have ever had. Their temporary brooder is next to my bedroom and my last hatch woke me up all the time with how loud they would peep. These chicks are just so quiet.

Hey Laura...yep, still lurkin around...I have been doin some thinkin and being that my coop and pen are smaller and I already have a couple banty hens, is there any chance I can have you put me down for a banty buckeye pullet instead of a LF buckeye? I know you are just getting started in them but, I thought I would ask.

I can, but it will mean a longer wait for one. The first several hatches I will be doing I have to keep for myself to build up my flock. If you're ok waiting until summer for a Buckeye bantam, then I can certainly get one to you. It will just mean a longer wait is all.

They are really cute. Thanks for sharing.

I went to my very first poultry show today, the PPBA in Stockton, CA.
Wow! Saw some of the BIGGEST chickens that I never knew existed... saw lots of itty bitty teeny tiny chickens and ducks.

I have a not very good photo of them but I don't see a way to upload it to this message. Oh well.
It was fun.

I went to my first one this past November, The Ohio National. I met Chris and Laura and went to the ABPC meeting, many BYCers. My lungs hurt for 3 days from all of the dander in the air. It's craaaaazy how many birds and crazy bird people are there. Fun, fun, fun.

I love going to poultry shows, so many weird and wonderful breeds of chickens! I love the Houdans and Polish (but am not interested in breeding them, just like to look.)

And to get back on topic, here are some pics of my Buckeyes out in the snow early this morning, snow doesn't faze them a bit!
