Thank you. I will surely do so. I am a true buckeye myself and anything to get more people in touch with the breed. You might pass the word here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...let-me-know-your-out-there/2320#post_10265211 Lots of folks living in the Buckeye state there and many of them may be interested in Buckeye chickens.
Yes. It depends where you live and all. I know of one in ohio right now that is selling hatching eggs but he has a list going. I have a day job and would not trust my eggs for hatching at the moment because I cant get them until evening. I know they are partially frozen when I get them. Let me know if you need more help finding some.Is anyone ever willing to sell the fertilized eggs?

Buckeyes are an intelligent, friendly breed. The females are inquisitive and often so friendly you have to push them away from your feet in order to walk around the pens. The males are respectful of both humans and their wives (a trait I cherish.) The infrequent male who shows signs of aggression should be culled, as it is not a breed trait.I've considered this breed and a local business is getting some Buckeye chicks this March. I always had a preference for rose combs and pea combs. What is their temperment like and how are they as layers?
