Budgie Breeding

Not exactly sure what happened but Daddy Boogie was killed right after we left last weekend
I checked and the last of the babies in the nest are still thriving so that’s good. But I’m a little torn now on allowing more to hatch while still fertile from him because he was #1

I think I may have a budgie problem!!

I was feeding yesterday and heard screeching…..the co-nest that I had discounted because hadn’t hatched successfully before has 5 babies 1-2 weeks from fledging

And the big nest already has first hatchling the other nests including momma Bella have already started accumulating new eggs but I’m afraid to remove any because I don’t want to start any fighting and I’m hoping to get a few more babies with yellow and green/turquoise from Boogie

The new hatchling group is up to 4 or 5 and only 2 left to fledge from the other group.

The CL ad didn’t seem to work for the budgies sooooo I’m going to talk to the local pet store this weekend.

Nest is up to 7 hatchlings or ‘pollywogs’ as I’ve started calling them
