Sigh..........
Another thread I will have to follow!

First some pretty pictures, because you all know I can't help myself!
This is CC

He doesn't have the nicest comb I've ever seen, and his middle toe feathering is too sparse. But his overall type more then makes up for it!

This is BB

I go back and forth whether I'm going to use him at all or not. Most of the time I lean towards not.. His middle toes are bare for one thing.

But he does have a very sweet Cochin head, and he's not split-breasted.

I'd appreciate thoughts on him - comments, critiques?

I'm with you, he has a great breast, love his coloring and nice cochin head like you said. I'd use him!

I feel I am too new to this variety to be much help.
But...... I don't worry as much about toe feathering as it can be bred in easily enough with good hens. He does have a nice breast, nice head and I love the color. His barring looks great on much of his body. It depends on if you really need him or not. Remember, it is best to keep one back up roo. Or in my case, about 20! LOL The roos are always so lovely. <sigh>

Now, I love CC because he is light so you can toss most of what I say about this variety right out the window because I don't think I have seen an ugly one yet!

I saw these and started drooling then. I kept seeing all the photos of the beauties and my restraint could not hold out. I have always been weak where bantam Cochins were concerned anyhow. Poor husband just rolls his eyes and says he hopes they lay well. LOL I think I need a job on top of this job to make enough to deal with all of my sweet pretty babies!
