Buff Barred Cochin

I found a picture of a buff barred cochin bantam on this website:

I have never seen this color before and was wondering if anyone else had and what they can tell me about them, like if they breed true or not.

I think that's swheat here on BYC. I think they sometimes hatch out just buff, but I'm not positive about that. Contact him and ask about them. I've been eyeing those myself........gorgeous birds.

I have made that colour in Orpingtons.

The colour breeds 100% true if the male has two barring genes (the male in this photo has one barring gene, so in the region of half of his offspring are buff barred, the other half being plain buff).

I just hatched out 4 buff barred Cochins (bantams). They're about 4 weeks old. I'll be selling eggs eventually but they have a ways to go!
