Buff Dewlap Toulouse Thread

Very nice pics, Psue! I would not be surprised if Josephine starts developing soon. My two buff yearling girls have been changing dramatically the last couple of weeks, developing dewlaps and keels that did not exist before they started molting. It has been great fun watching them bloom into beautiful ladies this summer.
I keep watching.. with the nutrition being unknown when they were very little. I'm not surprised by the slow development. I do need to band everyone soon while I can still tell them apart

Wanted to share a picture of Princess Izbella at 5 months old. She is out of two greys that I got from Gary Overton. she has the sweetest personality!

I think that regardless of breed all geese can be loud, depending on time of year and situation. I also think that individual personality plays a lot into how loud a particular goose is. As for calmness, on the whole my dewlap toulouse are calmer than my friend's sebbies, but again he has a couple super calm individual sebbies and I have a few dewlaps on the skittish side. Much of that has to do with upbringing, but definitely some are born calmer than others regardless of how much handling they received when being raised up as goslings.

How's that for an answer to your questions.
