Buff Dewlap Toulouse Thread

Pics
I'll let you know if I get fertile eggs from my greys and am happy to send you some. I'm with Julia... that's why I have 12 greys and only 6 buffs (although that number should rise to at least 8 with the addition of a couple more buff girls). Pistol, my buff 2yo gander, has pretty much ditched his yearling buff girlfriend now that my two huge 2yo greys are in the mood, and he is doing a great job successfully mating both of them, so I am pretty sure I will get huge buff color-sexed girls out of that trio.

.

I shall miss her, she was a very gentle and kind goose, who truly acted gratefull for the love and care and straw and all. You know what I mean.

I most definitely understand.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Although she's resting now, I think her spirit will always be with you. Much love to Julia

Oh Marty so sorry to hear about Baby Girl passing, she sure put up the good fight didn't she? Much comfort to you all as you grieve and especially for Julia.

I know you'll miss her.

Yes, we miss her "Wonk" allready. I knew something was amiss, since every morning she starts wonking when she hears me unlock and open and close the milk room door. She knows that means she gets fed and watered on my way to the goats. When she was quiet, I knew something was wrong, but thought she was stuck between straw bales again, not that she'd passed. To me it seemed rather sudden. I guess when it's your time, it's just your time.

My heart goes out to you Marty..I'm so sorry for your loss.

I too am dealing with loss right now and know exactly how you feel. A coon managed to worm its way into my lavender call duck pen the night before last and when I went down yesterday morning to let everyone out of their supposedly safe coops, I was floored by what I saw. It killed five beautiful little ducks and a lovely young Polish roo I had in there with them. The five ducks that survived are traumatized and three of them are pretty beat up. They're all in the house now and getting some much needed tlc. The coon managed to completely wipe out what took me almost three years to accomplish. Needless to say, my heart is broken.
