Oh okay Same as my girls then.

I'm just going to say he was born in June. They said summer, and he doesn't look that far off from Tilly & Rosa... When does their breeding season end? I didn't think they laid much into summer.

depends where he came from, I expect eggs from the sebbies to start in January, our last girls lay in May final hatch in June. I know some of these 2012 goslings were June hatches that were sent out. 2-4 weeks age difference would make a visible difference in their body shape too Climate change, feed chance/difference as well.

Well, I took pics but the little brats wouldn't hold still. They are also a little standoffish, as I "chase" them into the barn every night. Once they go in happily, I'll start giving them snacks to keep them sweet.

Hard to believe from May 8-9 until now is just 6 month ago. I remember how things were for me when they hatched. They've been a great diversion from Dad. I love my geese!



(I reallly hate the shadow of me on the geese, sorry!)

Marty I end up sitting and taking close to 200 picture minimum every time I take new shots. If you are always towering over them they less likely to relax for pictures.

Beautiful pics!! I am having fun watching everyone's dewlaps grow up into roly-poly mellow adults. My buffs range from mid April to early May and my greys range from mid to late May. Their rate of development has been very individual, but the girls are overall smaller and slower developing. Here are a few of my youngsters. The one front center is my boy Nutmeg, the far right is Barley, the sole buff I hatched back during our hatchalong, and the one on the left is Piper, a boy (I think).

Aww, I remember Nutmeg and Barley, and the hathes that started this whole multi goose gabit.

In the beginning, I only wanted four sebbiess, then came the Hatch alongs. I like going to the other site and reading about our escapades, and the all night assisted hatches.

Yep, Barley was the frontrunner in the dewlap group. I worked hard to hatch her. Then came yours hatching while Shellie and I (and others) were getting sick/injured/deceased goslings from the lady where all these rescue geese came from. Remember Ginger? The one with the abscess that needed urgent surgery? She arrived with Nutmeg and Piper. Here she is now (sorry not the best picture quality):

Going through pictures is an hour long event each week. I range from 200-600 pictures in a sitting. The more you take, the better chances of getting a winner!
