I have a female buff duck laying now. She laid her first egg out of the spring season! I got her and set her by her nest to see if she was going to incubate it. She just looked at it and walked away! We have a male call duck x pekin and i have never seen him mate her before, but nibble her neck and chase her around the pool. It gets pretty windy up here in Alberta and if they're fertile I want them to hatch... don't have an egg candler at the moment. Any tips?
