My "big girls" hatched in late April (13 weeks old) and as soon as I thought I only had one boy, I ordered another batch of chicks including two boys which arrived last week. I then had fourth surprise roo, and now I'm wondering about one more.

This is Buttercup... and may need to be renamed...

My other two BOs have a different tale shape and far less developed/red comb and wattle.

Is Buttercup just a more developed hen or is s/he is roo? I can try to get better or closer photos. We had a duckling sprinkler mishap yesterday and Buttercup was in the line of fire just moments before these were taken so was too upset with me to allow me to get too close.

Cockerel paranoia will drive you CRAZY! I think pullet too!

Thank you both so much! My husband said I was becoming "cockerel paranoid" and I knew he could be right but wanted to ask the pros here.. With the amount of girls I have i can't have more than 3 boys. I've always only had girls and although I thought Buttercup looked more female shaped, the quicker development threw me off.
