Thank you both so much! My husband said I was becoming "cockerel paranoid" and I knew he could be right but wanted to ask the pros here.. With the amount of girls I have i can't have more than 3 boys. I've always only had girls and although I thought Buttercup looked more female shaped, the quicker development threw me off.

I understand!!! I bought my first group of chicks over a year ago, and then convinced myself that half of them were male. So I bought a few more. later I was sure I still had half cockerels, so I ordered 6 more from Meyer's online... Then got two more... LOL Now I'm 15 chickens into a backyard venture.... And EVERY ONE of them were pullets! I lost one and then got a rooster, so yea... 11 hens, 3 pullets and a rooster later... lol

I'm so like you! I originally got 28 (12 were for my neighbors), thought 3 We're biys, got 7 more girls, then got 13 more girls and three "more" boys, two again for neighbors, one bit and one girl. I *think* I have 33 girls and 3 boys. Maybe 4 boys but that a could be my classic cockerel paranoia.
