Buff Orpington pullet with big wattles

Hi!

We have six 8.5 week old buff Orpington pullets (our first chickens!) One stands out as having much larger and redder wattles than the others. Posting some pics and would love some opinions. Normal for an 8.5 week pullet or maybe a rooster? Thanks!

A bit early, but it's looking like a possible boy.

PS A duck waddles, and chickens have wattles.

Don't be getting rid of the bird just yet. Comb and wattle development is not excessive for a pullet that age. No feathering characteristics indicate 'cockerel' just yet.

This was our blue Orpington girl at 9 weeks old, so I wouldn't panic yet.

I think pullet, if it was a cockerel it would have a bit bigger comb and wattles.
