I think I’ve had 4 buff orpingtons. Lavender orps are also really stupid.

She didn’t eat her orp. The orp is MINE. She’s not allowed to eat it.

I miss my Mel.
She was a typical Orp in looks, but that’s where the typicality stopped. She was never cuddly. And she was so mean for most of her life. She was much calmer in the later months but was still not friendly.
But she was so smart. Always very watchful and cautious, but confident in her ability to defend the flock she ruled.
Nutmeg still takes the cake for smartest hen but Mel was right up there.

Phoenix is just like that too. They really are one in the same.
