Mine’s not old enough to brood, so I wouldn’t know. But I can say so long as I have bantam cochins I won’t ever trust an orp to be a mom, there’s no reason to.

Fair. I just wanted to know cause mine have been awesome and was wondering if any of yall didn't like them because of their parenting skills.

If Nugget is still alive and brooding I’d let her hatch. I’d only use a different breed if I were desperate enough for chicks.

Indigo too, but at least when Nugget goes mama bear mode she doesn’t fight back like the other two
