Why the new account???
Because my account broke, it didn't load properly
Yes, yes, yes. I know the term bumblefoot but I could not, for the life of me, remember it the last time I posted it. Getting old is the absolute pits, brain goes on vacation without warning me first. There are also other issues with the feet sometimes, especially if they have a cut or bruise and walk in fecal matter in the coop. I try very hard to keep the coop as clean as possible but my health does not always permit.
The yellow legged one is a Buff Rock. Nice bird though.I picked up 4 new buffs today.. they're gorgeous girls! I wasn't expecting much as I generally go to a reputable breeder, but a hawk got the blue orps I was supposed to get from her, and so I found this woman locally. They're 18 weeks and even more advanced facially than my 24 week Black Orp.... my black orp is much bigger body wise, though I tend to keep my girls on the curvacious side... My Black Orp/Maran (the one with the most facial growth) is the same age as my purebred Black Orp, but is massive, and way more further along in her maturity. My Blue Jersey's nuts and going in the freezer shortly. The woman I ended up buying my Buff's from today also has Buff Roo's for sale, and i'm going to buy a few in a few weeks and butcher them at the same time as my Jersey. Enjoy the photos
I named this one "Booger", lol.
And this one has strangely yellow legs so I named her Gingy..
My Black Orp and Black Orp/Maran
My Black Orp/Maran - hard to believe she's only 24 weeks and not even laying yet!
