Does anyone have both Buff Orpingtons and Astralorps? I have BO's and I'm thinking about adding Astralorps to my flock and curious how you'd compare their personalities? Similar? Would they get along well together? Are Astralorps quiet like BO's?

I would like to hear responses from experienced folks regarding the mixing of these two. It was hard! and my first batch of chicks too. They had a rough trip, got stuck an extra day then left on my porch, after I called the post office 3 times a day for 3 days.I was crushed!! I don't know what I'd have done if I lost more than half as you did. Well, I'm glad she's looking like a pullet. That little comb forming has had me concerned. Thanks for your input.

Yep! Australorps used to be Australian OrpingtonsI have both and they are both sweet natured. They have a quite a few similarities which isn't surprising since they have similar breed backgrounds.
