I hope it all works out. My sister in law told me to paint the KFC logo in the coop to "scare" everyone into production...maybe it will help them go broody

A friend of mine ended up with extra roosters and so far they're doing alright in a bachelor pen. I think they're about a year now.

I currently have 3 BOs, and they pretty much won me over when I started feeding them mealworms. I originally bought them because my mom is convinced that the best way to raise chicken that actually know how to be chicken is via a broody hen. My friendliest BO is so sweet. I take her and the other one out to find earwigs and she follows me around as closely as possible. She falls asleep in my hand whenever I hold her for more than a minute. I don't know how but the creators of BOs somehow crossed the original chicken with dogs and cats and got the best traits out of either haha.

I'm pretty sure one of them is a rooster because it has very big comb and wattles compared to the other two even though the other two eat more mealworms and earwigs than him.

My two girls Lucinda and Goldy 7 weeks old. As a side note, the red part by their beak seems kind of dry, whiteish, flakey. Is this normal? My 6 other breeds don't have that so it stands out a bit.

Hi all! So happy to have found this thread!! I just "adopted" 8 BO hens and a BO rooster yesterday from a gal who was rehoming her flock. So they're still in the coop for a couple weeks so this is the best pic I could get for now. Went down to put them to bed last night and they were ready! Already on the roost I can't wait until I can let them out into the sunlight! They are all so pretty
