The female looks like those buff and black ameraucanas (easter eggers?). She is almost completely buff on her head and slowly gets more black until her tail is almost entirely black. I have not found a bird that looks exactly like her brother but he is similar to the red junglefowl or welsummer roosters, I am sure there are others but those were the only 2 I could think of. I hope this helps you visualize what they look like until I can get some pictures uploaded.Can we get pics??
Thank you! That is a great idea, I will have to remember that.Ethically you cannot represent your chickens as being something they are not as far as breed type is concerned. You are just setting yourself up for a lawsuit.
But. Why couldn't you describe them as being Partridge colored when you describe them, such as Astralorp/Buff Orpington cross? These birds are partridge colored, etc. That way you are giving a description of color and not misrepresenting their breed.
