*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Well my buff orpingtons are about 4 weeks now. They are the sweetest chickens I've ever owned. I wish I would have known about their sweet disposition when I first started my flock. I would have just kept orpingtons lol.

I started out my flock with a variety of chickens, but by far I love my BOs! Disco, Sassy and Polly are my older girls at 1 1/2 years and Ferdy, which is supposed to be cockrel is looking more like a pullet, is 3 months now. I just love their fluffy butts!

I love my Golden Girls! Dorothy is just over 14 weeks old. I never thought I would be looking at her as a possible early layer. I know she isn't as red as she will get, but this started happening about three days ago. How long is it, once they are real red, before they lay? The second picture is her sister, Betty...same age. I was expecting to be waiting at least 20 weeks for these ladies.
