Hi Y’all! I am doing a project and I could use a little help. I need to do in depth research on Buff Orpingtons, if y’all could share any good articles or videos that go into the breed. It can be anything from Random facts about the breed to a complete history of how the breed came to be. Also if you could share your own thoughts and/or experiences with the breed I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks and have a great day/night! Photo is my buffs Crazy and Maisy they had a sister named Daisy but she is no longer with us.

You can write how buff orphingtons are a light brown color, but orphingtons in general are not constraint to being buff, but can be lavender, black, of white?

That is a good idea! Thank you ☺️ I am going to be writing about one chicken breed each month in a empty notebook. I hope to cover as much as I can and fill the notebook. Then when I need info on the breed I can just pull out a notebook all about them.

Cool! I have always loved studying animals but I ain’t got enough room in my head for all the chicken breed info. Also I plan to start a local hatching business next year so having all the info already sorted by breed will be helpful....I hope 😂
good luck to your buisness! Make sure you read on about egg selling in your area. I know in my area there are certain rules to follow.

Omg! I call my dog Crazy Daisy Maisy (Daisy Mae is her name) and ask her when it will be just Lazy Daisy! She's a Mastiff puppy. This totally made me laugh :lau

As for my Buff Orpington, she is a great mama hen. She is fierce and dedicated. And loves to go broody. I think this can be typical of the breed.

The original Orpingtons created by William Cook were black, followed by rose-combed blacks. Then he created buffs, followed by rose combed buff.
