They're only 2 1/2 weeks old so still too young to tell...I know, I know! But, just take a glance.

The two you think are cockerels show no physical signs of it, but they wouldn't this early. I wouldn't place too much stock on behavior or personality at that age, either. Orpingtons are slow developers-- there have been birds shown in here that looked like pullets until they were more than 10 months old and then suddenly didn't, so you might have a long wait.View attachment 1308270 View attachment 1308273 View attachment 1308274 View attachment 1308275 View attachment 1308278 View attachment 1308280 View attachment 1308284 View attachment 1308287
They're only 2 1/2 weeks old so still too young to tell...I know, I know! But, just take a glance. We have 9 so chances are one or two could be a roo?! A couple of them act different from the others. One is super curious and generally more friendly and lets me pick it up easily. Another has big ole feet, hangs out by itself, occasionally acts "superior" and lays down different than the others. Those two are my suspected roos! Guess we'll wait and see!
Thank you! That's the one I was thinking might be as well.Too young.
Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the chick in the sixth picture is a cockerel.
Thank you!! Love my babies!! My husband says I'm obsessed. HA! He's right...I voted too early! And I also agree with Jed, Orps are slow to mature. Your chicks are however extremely adorable!
Haha! Looks like I better start to learn some patience!! The good news is we live outside of the city so a Roo would be allowed. The two you think are cockerels show no physical signs of it, but they wouldn't this early.
