buff polish hen acting weird

for a sick or weak bird, heat is important too. Make sure and keep her warm. I used to hand feed baby parrots and I used a commercial parrot food. The food needed to be warm, 100 degrees, for the bird to digest it. I don't know if it's the same with parrots as it is with chickens but that's what I know about parrots. I would put a heating pad under half of a box. If the bird is too cold, it would go to the warmth, if it's too warm it would go to the cooler side of the box. I used a gavage tube on some if they weren't getting enough food but that's so tricky, I wouldn't suggest it to someone because aspiration is a serious risk.
Hard boiled eggs smashed up fine with a little bit of flax or even oatmeal would be a good thing. Add a little water if you need to, but keep that bird warm.
