Buff Silkie Hen Needs Rescuing

Anyone live in or around Fairfax Virginia? There is a homeless Buff Silkie hen at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter waiting to be adopted. I'd get her myself but I'm in upstate New York and my husband will KILL me if I drive 12 hours for one chicken. She is posted on petfinder.com and petharbor.com if you search chicken or fowl in the Fairfax area. The shelter's phone number is 703-830-1100.

She looks like a lovely little hen. She was picked up by Animal Control wandering in the streets, so she was someone's pet. She's been at the shelter since March 26 (more than 2 weeks) and no one has claimed her so she's up for adoption.
