Silkie sop buff hen

Hey, could anyone help me determine the quality of my buff silkie hen? I’m new to judging birds but I think that she has a lot of really nice qualities. Probably not quite show quality but much better than any hatchery stock. On a side note does anyone know what colors I’d get if I breed her to my paint rooster? I’ve been struggling to find any color breeding information on buffs as well as paints

She looks pretty good to me. Make sure she dosent have vuture hocks. Those are hard feathers that shoot off the hocks, silkies arnt supposed to have them.

She’s decent, though her crest is small for an American Silkie.
Breed buff to paint and you will get birds that are buff on the front half and paint (or just solid white) on the back half and birds that are buff on the front half and black on the back half.

Thank you, she definitely doesn’t have vulture hocks, I wouldn’t have her in my breeding pen if she did. Too hard to breed out lol

Thank you! In these photos her crest was molting if you look closely, so it’s filled out a little more. It definitely doesn’t have the height that I’d really love to see but it’s got the fullness when she isn’t dipping it in mud thank you for breaking down the colors, I know they won’t be APA colors but I’m more so working on bettering my birds type for now.
