Buffs or Welshies

I want to add two more girls to my little flock of 3 pekins. I thought I would try a pair of the Buffs or the Welsh Harlequins. I really want them to be friendly and two at a time should be easy to give them lots of attention. Any thoughts on either of these breeds? Also I’m in Pa and would like a hatchery that will sell just two. Metzes won’t have the Welshies available until June.

I love my 2 Buff girls, they are friendly and beautiful and lay nice large eggs.

They do love to talk though. lol

I love my 3 buff girls. They are so funny, love to swim, and can talk up a storm.

You could always get one of each. I just started my flock a few wks ago-2 Pekins and 1 Buff and then I decided to order 2 Welsh, 1 Cayuga, 1 Buff and 1 Swedish. Those were my favorites but I couldn't decide which ones I wanted the most so I got some of each lol. Meyers will let you order a minimum of 3.

I really don't think you can go wrong. I have a fondness for silver welshies, I just think the girls are so pretty - but Buffs are also so beautiful!

Get one of each! More variety will pop out more from a distance. Also, both breeds are beautiful so you won't go wrong no matter what!

I really like the silver Welsh, but I've never had buffs.
