Bugs

Hello,

I was wondering if there were certain bugs chickens can and cannot eat. I know some people keep them for pest control. Do they know what they can or cannot eat, if there is any restrictions? And at what age can chicks be fed bugs?

They sell crickets and mealworms at my local pet store. Are they safe for chickens to eat as well? Thanks!

By the way, there's an abundance of boxelder bugs where I am if that adds to the question.

Mealworms are like cocaine to my hens. They go CRAZY for them.

most all animals wont eat things not good for them....just the real dumb ones

Same here. Our chicken go mad for snails and slugs. The run round the garden like they've found treasure

Again they seem to know what to eat and what not to eat if they roam.
