Building a new coop, suggestions welcome

Just happened upon your build. Very nice so far.

Last wall is fabricated with the 12x50" opening for nesting box . Lumber pile has been reduced to roof framing, some extra 2x4s, the top plates for the walls, and all the sheathing is under cover. Let thus post sit as a draft and I've finished cutting all the rafters for the roof in the meantime.

As a side note: building in dimensions that are similar to standard Lumber lengths really keeps your waste down. The picture is of all my drops thus so far with the exception of a treated 2x6 that's in the lumber pile.

Big afternoon today! Enlisted the help from a friend because he likes to do the high flying fun work in order to stand up everything I've been fabricating. "Cute" was the description he had for it. It's definitely taller than I envisioned, but the tall roof facilitates the ~32sqft of ventilation not counting the eaves and the ridge vent that will be going in. With a piece of plywood up top there will be plenty of room to store litter, feed, etc if I want the space.

For those wondering, it's 12 feet from the bottom of the walls to the ridge, plus whatever elevation is below it. Roof pitch reminds me of a church.

Got collar ties and ceiling joists up with one piece of roof sheathing ready to go and one wall sheathed at the end of today. Also my feral children.

I'm trying hard to have it weather proof by end of 10/9 so that all I have to do is weld up some door frames and staple hardware cloth!
