Building My First Coop

Pics
Maybe it varies from state to state. I talked to a Home Depot employee who even called the vendor who supplies these panels, and the vendor said they don't know if and when they'll restock. So that was that. The only other metal panels that HD carries at all over here is the corrugated wavy ones. Damn, I really wanted the charcoal color rib steel panels... Those looked so good!
It may be a state thing. We went with forest green.... I like the green roof and silver walls, all 3 of my coops are built this way.

Yeah, the color options would've been nice. I wanted charcoal to match the house. Blue walls and charcoal roof on both coop and house. And also because the green would look weird 2/3 of the year when there's nothing green around  but even that would've been better than the unfinished-looking bare metal... Maybe I'll paint it...

Milford and Worchester and Leominster Lowes all show the MasterRib in stock in Silver and Green colors , don't know how far you are from those locations .
I went with Silver because it was $10 a panel cheaper than the other colors available .

Got the latches on the access door , need to pickup one more spring clip .

They don't have it in the size I need though. The other rib steel panels (that are out of stock) are 3'x8', and two of them would cover the exact area I need without needing any cuts. These ones are way too long and the ribs go the wrong way, so I'd have to cut along both dimensions and end up with a lot of leftovers, and pay for more square footage total thus making this a much more expensive roof... It's complicated :hmm

That will look good , did you get a estimate on when it will be in ?
Not yet, but they have it in stock at a Lowe's half an hour from my house, so it's just a matter of them preparing it for pick up, it won't need to ship anywhere. So I'm hoping to be able to pick it up and install it this coming weekend. I really want a roof on that thing before we get too deep into the rainy season.

That's great . Yes , get the roof on before the weather starts beating us up .
