Hi, I'm a new chicken owner for the past year. I have a RIR that I noticed wasn't walking around. I looked her over and found the little black spot on her foot. I removed the corn, but she still didn't want to walk. I isolated her and have been soaking her foot in Epsom salt as often as I can. About everyday or every other. She ended up developing a little lump on the back of her heel. It never developed the black scab, but i cut it open and pus came out. Also on top of her foot she had a swollen spot and I cut that open and got pus out. Neither spot developed that black spot. Just reddish and swollen. Again I've been soaking, cleaning, and wrapping it, but it doesn't seem to be getting better. This has been going on for a little over 2 weeks. She still won't bear weight and her foot is still swollen. I don't know what else I should do. Her foot is swollen all over and hard between her toes and around the original scab. Should I open her foot up again where it's hard? Any suggestions?
The first couple of pictures are from the original surgery. The last one is from a week ago. There aren't anymore focal points, it's just swollen. Did I not get all the infection out the first time?
